Covid-19
Guidance & Updates
We want to make sure all members and studio artists are clear, reassured and up-to-date on the changes we are making to mitigate the risk posed by Covid-19. All actions taken are done so with the safety of our studio and open access members in mind and we are grateful for the cooperation and support of all our members in this.
These measures are under constant review. If you are high risk or have specific concerns, please get in touch to discuss.
If you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, or are living with someone who is self-isolating do not come in to the studio.
Test and Trace:
By each door we now have posters with an NHS Covid-19 QR code specific to the studio and are asking everyone who enters the building to scan in every time you arrive. You do not need to scan out. You will need to download the NHS COVID-19 app
Travel:
Travel by bike, on foot or by car where possible and avoid public transport
In Elephant and Castle, enter the studio via the ramp - avoid the lift and stairwell
General:
Wash hands thoroughly as soon as you arrive at the studio and regularly throughout the day - in line with NHS guidance
Hand sanitiser is provided, use as necessary
In order to limit and manage who is coming and going, please check with Lucy before bringing any guests or visitors to the studios - both print rooms and studio/desk spaces.
Printing:
One person per session in all print rooms to ensure social distancing
Both members and studio artists must book their sessions
Respect others by keeping 2 meters distance - taking extra care in corridors and bathrooms
One person at a time in the washout, drying and acid rooms
Do not reuse rags. Throw away after use
Bring your own apron, and take with you after use
No personal belongings/work left in shared spaces at the end of your session
Clean all surfaces thoroughly with disinfectant provided
Kitchens / food and drink:
No shared use mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery etc. We encourage members to bring a flask or cup and lunch to your sessions. Studio artists, keep yours in your spaces for your own use
Paper cups and cutlery will be provided for emergencies, but we want to avoid disposable items becoming the norm
Wash and return any used cups etc. to your space or home. Anything left out risks being thrown away
Paper towels will be provided to replace hand towels and tea towels
Clean all surfaces after use
Studio/desk spaces, corridors and shared spaces:
Keep corridors and shared spaces clear, so others do not have to touch or move items
Sharers, please stay in touch with your studio mate and avoid working at the same time if possible, unless social distancing possible
Walls and polycarb dividers are in place for studios and desk spaces to offer a barrier between people working and walkways
Whilst we are doing all we can to mitigate the risks of Covid-19, we cannot eliminate them completely. Anyone visiting the studio does so at their own risk.
Open access pass expiry dates will be extended to 2 years. Use your sessions as and when you feel comfortable.
