about

The Studio— The studio provides open access print facilities seven days a week for both screenprint and intaglio/relief processes, artist studios and desk spaces and a varied programme of workshops taught by professional artists and designers.

What we do— We work hard to facilitate a professional and supportive environment for those practicing within the parameters of contemporary print and design, and encourage a spirit of community and support in our print rooms. With this in mind, we hold regular open studios and run a strong programme of practical workshops that welcome those of all abilities. This provides a strong framework for open access members and studio artists to develop their practice and share their work with each other and with the public. We welcome newcomers, so please do get in touch!

Outreach—The studio is committed to widening access to contemporary art and print and believes in the value of engaging with individuals and the local community. As such we regularly help to organise artist-led projects in the local area and host workshops for external programmes, most recently with SPACE studios’ London Creative Network, a mentoring program guiding early-career artists.

Commissions/services—As a team of professional printmakers and artists we welcome the opportunity to work with you on unique commissions and special projects, so please feel free to get in touch to discuss any projects you might have in mind. We also offer a screen service, putting your artwork onto screen to save you the hassle. We have more that 15 years industry experience and guarantee a professional job at a competative price.

You will find us at two locations across South London, in Vauxhall and West Croydon.

Please note - the Elephant and Castle Studio has relocated to Vauxhall at The Handbag Factory, 3 Loughborough St, London SE11 5RB (near Vauxhall, Oval & Kennington stations).
