An acute visual literacy underpins the printmaking of Nicola Peirce. The multitude of graphic forms that overwhelm us in everyday life are carefully disassembled, processed and re-applied to present a new and irreverent collage of the banal made playful and delightfully mischievous. With skilful use of analogue and digital means, the sophisticated language of graphics and semiology is, in Nicola's hands, rendered as spontaneous and dynamic as paint on canvas, immediate and rude.

Nicola was born, lives and works in London. She is one of the resident visual artists designing projections at the Notting Hill Arts Club.
