SCREENPRINT ON PAPER
Tutor: Estefania Araujo Bianchi
Saturday 14 September, 10 - 4pm (one day workshop)
Full Weekend, 14/15 September
Screenprinting is a simple and accessible technique for producing a repeated graphic image or photograph onto paper using layers of ink. It involves forcing ink through the mesh of a screen onto paper (or lots of other materials) using a squeegee. Screenprint can produce really exciting results and is a fun and rewarding print process.
Join us for one (Saturday only) or both days of this weekend workshop and you will learn all the key skills required to print independently.
You will learn how to screenprint your own images using a range of techniques, preparing your own designs using hand cut paper stencils, hand drawn images and digitally printed positives. You will then learn how to coat the screen, expose your images onto the screen, mix your own inks and finally print.
Joining us for the whole weekend offers the opportunity to build on what you have already learned and leave with the skills and confidence to pursue screenprinting on paper in the future.
Estefania will demonstrate each technique and provide focused support throughout to help you complete your own set of prints to take away with you on completion.
This is a great opportunity to gain a strong foundation of practical knowledge and we are certain you will leave inspired to continue screenprinting on paper in the future.
