Bainbridge Print Studios is seeking applications for a Printmaking Fellow for intaglio and relief processes.
This post is an exciting opportunity for a skilled printmaker, graduate or early career artist to take an active role in developing and maintaining a professional open access print room in an active and welcoming print studio.
There will be the freedom to shape and make changes, as much as is possible. With this in mind we are looking for someone who will relish taking ownership of the print room and who will enjoy and benefit from taking an active role in the smooth running of these facilities and in supporting open access members to make work.
The Fellowship recipient’s responsibilities:
Being available in the print room 1 day per week on the same day each week (a day most suitable for you)
Technical support for open access members working in the intaglio print room on this day, offering practical support and advice
Maintaining the facilities and equipment
Working within the studio’s health and safety guidelines
Benefits for the applicant:
Work on your own practice providing maintenance tasks are complete and open access members are given support
Access to the print studio and facilities for 2 additional days to pursue their own practice
Potential for a paid teaching opportunity, subject to a trial period
Experience of working within a professional print studio
Join a community of professional print artists and exposure to a range of practices
The successful applicant will have a recent postgraduate qualification in Printmaking or related subject, and demonstrate a particular commitment to intaglio processes.
